China Syndrome

I'd like to elaborate on David vs. Goliath as well. Specifically Richard Adams as David. Scenes to look at might be the first camera shoot inside the power plant, Adams’ commentary on nuclear power. Perhaps the hearing as well.

  1. What I enjoyed about Richard early on is his quote about how the film was "nuclear dynamite" and "hot." There, we see how the film consciously blurs the distinction between nuclear fission and what Jean Baudrillard calls "telefission." Both are forms of energy creation, both are potentially quite damaging and already pervasive, and both are quite literally out of our control.
